COVER TAPER SOLIS SPA COVERS uses tapered foam from 4" to 2" for our standard model spa cover, 5 to 3" taper for our Super Heavy Duty spa covers and 6 to 4" taper for our Premium spa cover.  Taper is important on spas that are outdoors. The more exaggerated the taper, the better the run-off for rain and snow. Each of our cover models is reinforced with a non-corrosive 20 gauge steel c-channel in each half. Our Premium 6 to 4" cover model is double reinforced with TWO non-corrosive 20 gauge steel c-channel in each half! Solis Spa Covers is currently the ONLY manufacturer in the industry that offers DOUBLE REINFORCEMENTS in their Premium cover models! THREAD  SOLIS SPA COVERS uses premium heavy duty polyester thread manufactured by American & Efird, America's oldest and most trusted thread manufacturer. Other thread types such as nylon or cotton will not hold up to the outside elements for an extended period of time.  Our thread is UV resistant, has high ratings in abrasion and chemical resistance. Our thread is also treated with mildew inhibitors.   VAPOR SEAL  SOLIS SPA COVERS uses the Clear Guard System (6mil) vapor barrier that is linear in design, to prevent easy puncture and to keep water saturation to a minimum. Manufactured specifically for the spa industry, this highest quality specialty plastic can withstand the heat and chemicals spas can produce.  The vapor seal is one of the most important components in the longevity of your spa cover | hot tub cover. The Clear Guard System is vacuum sealed and double checked by hand to ensure a complete seal. Some other companies claim they use 6mil so, if the price sounds to good to be true your probably only getting 1.5 mil or less. Our Premium 6 to 4" model comes with TWO layers of 6 Mil Clear Guard!  That's 2x the aturations protection and includes the foam cor against saturatione in our 5 Year Warranty.  FOAM DENSITY SOLIS SPA COVERS uses Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) which is rated by its weight per cubic foot. The higher the rating, the stronger the foam. We only use VIRGIN BEAD FOAM, opposed to recycled foam, because it is much stronger though both may carry the same rating. We use 1.5lb density as a standard in 4 to 2" taper,  5 to 3" and 6 to 4" taper foam cores. We also offer 2lb density upgrade in 4 to 2" taper, 5 to 3" taper and 6 to 4" taper cover models. Our 6 Mil Barrier vs. Other's 2 Mil Barriers Extra Strong, Double Reinforced Tie-Downs         VINYL  SOLIS SPA COVERS uses Enduratex vinyl specifically designed for spa covers. The vinyl we use is mildew, cracking and chlorine resistant. Enduratex vinyl has ultraviolet stabilized pigments to prevent fading. Our vinyl weights 30 oz per linear yard. WE OFFER 10 COLOR CHOICES! Unlike some of our competitors, we use DOUBLE laminated polyester 10 oz. spa liner or "scrim" on the underside of our spa covers. NO MESH! Each side of the spa cover has three drain grommets for maximum release of condensation. Our double laminated liner increases your spa covers efficiency! We also offer dual layer reinforced skirts on all cover models to help seal in your spas heat!   HANDLES & TIE-DOWN STRAPS SOLIS SPA COVERS uses double reinforced handles and tie-down straps.
